Vegan and vegetarian diets are often touted as the “healthy option”, but is that much more a myth than a reality? A pipe dream like fantasy that over time leaves your body more depleted than ever before, often with lowered immunity, increased toxicity, lowered thyroid function, decreased digestive function and links to tooth decay?
1) Historically, there are no cultures that have thrived by subsisting off of animal-free diets.

2) People often come to a vegan diet because they have trouble digesting meat and dairy products (fatigue, inflammation, acne, bloating, weight gain, and other symptoms).
Intolerance to certain foods does not mean that there is a problem with that particular food group per say, but instead indicates imbalance within the body causing weaker digestive function (such as slowed metabolism and sluggish thyroid function). Some people tend to gravitate toward a vegan diet because the included foods are “easier” to digest because of poor digestive juices. Eliminating these “problematic foods” completely and permanently only “avoids” the problem, instead of getting at the root issue; working to re-balance the body to regain tolerance of a wide variety of foods.
